Safety First
-
Have a professional gunsmith inspect the gun before firing!

-
Only use shells that produce pressures for which the gun was designed (5,000 – 7,000 PSI for Damascus Steel, Twist Steel, and De-carbonized Steel barrels)!

-
When hunting waterfowl, only use shells specifically designed for classic guns with bismuth or other non-toxic soft shot; do not fire shells with steel shot!

-
Remember that the hammers are the “safety”; as soon as you begin to cock the hammers the “safety” is off and the gun can fire!

-
All standard rules for the safe operation of firearms apply!
